About AquamarInk Designs
Hi! I’m Amy — the hands and heart behind AquamarInk Designs. The name is inspired by my birthstone (aquamarine) and one of my favorite art forms: ink.
My love for art and lettering began early—like four-years-old-playing-Pictionary early. (I took great pride in the fact that my stick-figure drawings were actually decipherable). I've always been drawn to drawing and writing, and growing up with hearing loss deepened my appreciation for visual expression and fine detail.
Over the years, I explored all kinds of art media, from portrait painting to illustration, eventually earning a degree in Illustration where I often included hand-drawn lettering in my work. But like many artists, life took a few turns. I found myself in education, then the corporate world, still painting and creating on the side for fun and for friends.
One day, I stumbled upon Copperplate calligraphy—and it was love at first flourish. The rhythmic, meditative strokes felt like magic. From there, I dove headfirst into brush calligraphy, engraving, hot foiling, pyrography... the possibilities were endless. I began making personalized gifts and cards. Especially for people who never saw their names on souvenir keychains- Seeing their faces light up? That lit me up.
Now, I get to turn that joy into a service. Whether you're looking for hand-lettered signage for your wedding, personalized gifts for your clients, or custom touches that bring beauty and meaning to your event—I’d be honored to help you create something truly special.
